Its administrative center is the town of Priozersk. District's population: 42,859 (2002 Census); 40,231 (1989 Census). Administratively, the district is divided into twelve volosts: Bogatyryovskaya, Borisovskaya, Gromovskaya, Zaporozhskaya, Krasnoozyornaya, Larionovskaya, Melnikovskaya, Michurinskaya, Otradnenskaya, Petrovskaya, Romashkinskaya, and Sosnovskaya.
